Joel 3:14   Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Latin Herald Missions is a Christ-centered Full Gospel Missionary outreach founded in 1976 by Dr. & Mrs (Rev) Connie Vickery.
Upon leaving their home church of Destiny Church ( Formely Revival Temple, 1310
Texas Avenue in San Antonio) and graduating on the 4th-year level with a degree in theology from International Bible College, Bro. and Sis. Vickery immediately left for the Eagle Pass, Texas, and Piedras Negras, Mexico area to begin a pioneer missions work.

Piedras Negras, which means "black rocks," is a town of over half a million people in Mexico’s coal mining area.

Border areas are not like the interior of Mexico. Many people come to the borders because of the vices that are readily and easily available. Border areas are kingdoms of darkness. Fierce spiritual warfare is a way of life on the border, but through it all the Word of the Lord says "where sin abounds, Grace does much more abound." Glory!!! It is that grace that has kept us going through the years and is yet keeping us.

When the Mexican government ordered all churches to be registered and belong to a religious organization, we contacted a lawyer in Mexico City and formed "Iglesias Pentacostales Emanuel" (Emanuel Pentacostal Churches). This was a very lengthy and costly process. Many churches in Mexico cannot afford to comply with Mexican government regulations; therefore, we formed Iglesias Pentacostales Emanuel to give coverage and recognition to churches who otherwise would be closed.

We currently have more than 30 outreaches of churches, home meetings, and village works in this northern area of Mexico. Each church has its own outreach ministries, such as street work, teaching, prison ministries, and pulpit ministries. The outreaches are conducting more than 100 services each week.
